Canon Brown Hill has been an attorney at Jones Cork, LLP since 2008. Ms. Hill represents several school districts and small businesses throughout the middle Georgia area. In regards to her work with school districts, she provides daily counseling, which includes policy development, matters relating to the Fair Dismissal Act, special education, student discipline and compliance with the Open Records Act.
Ms. Hill has also worked on cases brought under Title VII, § 1983, Title IX, and numerous state laws. She has also prepared and presented training seminars, drafted employee handbooks, and represented school districts and private employers regarding EEOC charges.
Ms. Hill is a member of the Macon Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. She has severed as the President of the Macon Young Lawyers Division (YLD). Ms. Hill is a 2010 graduate of the YLD Leadership Academy. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Henry County and Leadership Butts County. Additionally, Ms. Hill is a member of the Counsel of School Attorneys for both the National School Board Association and the Georgia School Board Association.
Ms. Hill lives in Forsyth with her husband and two sons. When she is away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
