Jeffery O. Monroe has been practicing with Jones Cork, LLP since 2006. He has handled numerous student discipline appeals before the state Board of Education as well as guided school districts in responding to complaints lodged with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR). Mr. Monroe has also defended clients in contested matters involving personal injuries, business litigation and probate matters.
Mr. Monroe supports his community through his involvement as the chairman of the Macon-Bibb SPLOST Advisory Committee and vice-chair of the Macon-Bibb Land Bank Authority. His professional service includes his work as a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Review Panel and past president of the Macon Bar Association. Mr. Monroe also serves as a deacon of the Second Darien Missionary Baptist Church of Sparta, Georgia. Mr. Monroe has been recognized as a leader in his community by Georgia Trend Magazine’s 40 Under 40 (2006 edition), and Macon Magazine’s 5 Under 40 (2004 edition). He is a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2008 and Leadership Macon Class of 2004.
Mr. Monroe, his wife Sheila, and their two sons enjoy hiking and traveling.
