Collier West McKenzie is originally from LaGrange, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a major in Agribusiness and a minor in Environmental Law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McKenzie worked for the former President Pro Tempore of the Georgia Senate, Tommie Williams, as an aide during the 2008 session and a legal aide during the 2011 session. Mr. McKenzie has been with Jones Cork, LLP since receiving his J.D. from Mercer Law School and being admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2011.
Mr. McKenzie serves as the Georgia State Bar Agriculture Law Section Chair, and as a board member of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association, and is currently an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Macon Bar Associaton, where he served as President of the Young Lawyers Division (2015-2016), the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, and the American Agricultural Law Association. Collier was named as a “Rising Star” in 2019 by Georgia’s Super Lawyers magazine, an honor achieved each year by less than three percent of Georgia Attorneys under the age of forty.
Mr. McKenzie and his wife Meredith reside in Macon with their two sons. They are active members of Vineville United Methodist Church and in the community.
