On October 18, 2019, Wesleyan College recognized Warren Plowden for his 45 years of outstanding legal service as Wesleyan’s College Attorney.  Wesleyan is a private, liberal arts women’s college located in Macon, and is the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Warren, who is presently of counsel with Jones Cork, LLP, has provided counsel to Wesleyan over a wide range of matters throughout that time, including reviewing proposed policies and procedures, examining contracts and agreements with outside parties, providing advice on employment issues, providing assistance with bond financing, and many other matters.  At a meeting of Wesleyan’s Board of Trustees, Warren was recognized for his long and dedicated service by Board Chair Andy Nations.

Jones Cork partner Cater Thompson has been selected to succeed Warren as Wesleyan’s College Attorney.  Cater has a broad background well suited for the position, including business and corporate law, wills and estate planning, business finance, and business litigation.  Cater is honored to have been selected to continue assisting Wesleyan in its important work.
