Bio

Ms. Hill concentrates her practice in the areas of education law and employment law.

Her education law experience includes advising school districts on employment matters, such as personnel investigations, discipline and discharge, and compliance with federal laws. She has represented school districts in employee termination and discipline hearings, EEOC charges and student matters, including disciplinary hearings and complaints filed with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

Ms. Hill has also represented school districts in numerous matters involving special education and Section 504 students in a variety of settings, including IEP meetings, manifestation determination review meetings, early resolution sessions, mediations and due process hearings. She has developed, revised and conducted policy reviews for multiple boards of education, and prepared procedural manuals and employee handbooks for various school districts and private employers. Ms. Hill has also worked on Title IX policies and procedures for secondary and higher education. In addition, she has conducted annual training seminars on state and federal laws for school administrators, and advised government entities on compliance matters with state open records and open meeting acts.

In her employment law work, Ms. Hill focuses on preventative counseling for public and private sector employers on a wide variety of matters, including federal, state and local obligations, harassment and discrimination, wage and hour issues, and employee hiring, discipline and discharge.

Ms. Hill enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two sons.
